Minister Michalis Damianos, and Joshua Volz to reaffirm the necessity of enhanced cooperation in fostering regional stability and energy security.

During the discussions, SG Osama Mobarez emphasized the imperative of diversifying energy routes and supply sources. He noted that contemporary global energy systems face heightened exposure to disruption, largely due to a dangerous concentration in key supply corridors and an over-reliance on critical chokepoints.

In a dedicated session titled "The Infrastructure Backbone of Energy Security and Regional Energy Cooperation," SG Osama Mobarez joined fellow energy leaders, including SG Jassim Isa Al-Shirawi and Thomas Hardy, to evaluate the structural requirements of energy security. The dialogue centered on the critical need for resilient and diversified infrastructure, particularly in response to recent disruptions to major global transit routes like the Strait of Hormuz.

In his remarks, SG Osama Mobarez highlighted that modern energy security is no longer determined by scale or self-sufficiency alone, but by the development of interconnected and adaptable systems. He further emphasized the importance of synergy between key international institutions, noting the complementary roles of the International Energy Forum (IEF) in global dialogue, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) in project facilitation, and the EMGF in fostering robust regional cooperation and project implementation.
