EMGF Secretary General Meets with Newly Appointed Greek Minister and Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy

On the sidelines of the Delphi Economic Forum, the Secretary General of the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF) Mr. Osama Mobarez met with H.E. Stavros Papastavrou, the newly appointed Minister of Environment and Energy of the Hellenic Republic, and H.E. Nikos Tsafos, the newly appointed Deputy Minister.

During the meeting, the Secretary General extended congratulations to both officials on their new appointments and provided an overview of EMGF’s key activities and strategic initiatives. The discussion focused on the Forum’s vision and priorities, with particular emphasis on strengthening dialogue among governments, industry stakeholders, and regulators across the region.

The meeting also highlighted Greece’s pivotal role within the EMGF and reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing regional energy cooperation, security, and sustainability. As a founding and active member of the EMGF, Greece continues to be a strong advocate for collaborative efforts that foster a stable and integrated energy future in the East Mediterranean.

The Secretary General expressed appreciation for the continued partnership with the Hellenic Republic and looked forward to working closely with Minister Papastavrou and Deputy Minister Tsafos to support the Forum’s collective objectives.
