The East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF) recently hosted the EmpowerMed Women kickoff reception, a landmark event dedicated to advancing women's empowerment in the energy sector. 

The event featured keynote speeches from H.E. Cypriot Minister George Papanastasiou and H.E. Egyptian Deputy Minister Sabah Mashaly, reaffirming leadership support for this vital initiative. A presentation outlining EmpowerMed Women’s vision and objectives set the stage for future action, followed by an interactive discussion moderated by H.E. Greek Deputy Minister and Network Chair Alexandra Sdoukou. The discussion sparked valuable insights, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in driving meaningful change.
