During the recent Gastech conference, SG Osama Mobarez engaged in fruitful discussions with Assistant Secretary Geoffrey Pyatt and Assistant Secretary Brad Crabtree. The meetings offered valuable insights into the ongoing activities of the Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF), particularly regarding our current studies and upcoming engagements for COP29 in Azerbaijan.
In addition to these discussions, SG Mobarez participated as a keynote speaker at the Energy Professionals Networking Event organized by the Egyptian American Society in Houston. With approximately 100 energy professionals in attendance—many of whom are Egyptians working in the Texas energy sector—this event was an excellent opportunity for networking and knowledge sharing.
During his keynote address, SG Mobarez emphasized the significance of the Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum, outlining its formation, key working streams, and its unique role in fostering collaboration among governments and companies. His insights underscored the importance of collaboration and diversification in advancing the energy industry, encouraging attendees to embrace these principles as we move forward together.
