EMGF Co-hosts Energy summit in Thessaloniki

Today, the EMGF co-organized with the Hellenic Ministry of Energy and Environment a joint event in Thessaloniki- Greece, titled "Navigating East Mediterranean Energy Dynamics: the twin challenge of energy security and energy transition. 

The event commenced with a Ministerial Panel followed by a comprehensive panel discussion involving diverse EMGF stakeholders. The first panel, "Charting the Energy Mix Future in the East Med," featured distinguished figures such as H.E. Theodore Skylakakis Minister of Environment & Energy of Greece, H.E. Osama Mobarez, EMGF Secretary General, and Mr. Marios Panayides, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry of Cyprus.

The second panel, "The Regional Challenges of Energy Security and the Energy Transition," included esteemed speakers from the different EMGF stakeholders such as governments and private sector.


This event was hosted as part of the 8th Southeast Europe Energy Forum (SEEF2024) and focused on the critical challenges and opportunities in the East Mediterranean energy sector, addressing themes such as geopolitical dynamics, infrastructure development, climate challenges, and investment opportunities.
