Today the 9th EMGF Ministerial Meeting was held virtually, with the presence of our distinguished Member Countries and Observers.

Commencing the meeting were opening remarks delivered by Eng. Alaa Hagar the President of the 2023 Executive Board from the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum & Mineral Resources, Ms. Alexandra Sdoukou the 2024 President and Greek Deputy Minister of Environment & Energy and Mr. Osama Mobarez- the EMGF Secretary General.

The opening remarks underscored the significance of the EMGF pivotal role in fostering collaboration for the advancement of Energy security and transition.

The EMGF Secretariat provided updates on the activities and studies conducted in 2023, with the meeting witnessing the endorsement of the EMGF Harmonized Carbon Abatement Framework Study and several procedural decisions that will enable the Forum to advance its efforts in the decarbonization activities.
