This morning, EMGF Secretary General Osama Mobarez participated in the Egypt Energy Show that was inaugurated by Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El Sisi.

After the opening Ceremony, SG Mobarez participated in a panel titled “Shaping a pragmatic and realistic energy future”.

The session witnessed the participation of HE Tarek El Molla, Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, H.E. Alexandra Sdoukou, Greek Deputy Minister for Environment and Energy and H.E Dr Dr. Walid Fayad, Minister of Energy and Water, Lebanon.

The panelists emphasized the importance of making climate resilience and sustainable economic development strategies in a pragmatic and realistic approach that tackles the need of global societies. 

During the session SG. Mobarez highlighted the EMGF efforts in striking the right balance between accelerating development of different gas discoveries in the East Med and fast tracking our efforts in decarbonization.
