EMGF Secretary General Osama Mobarez held a bilateral meeting with H.E. George Papanastasiou- Minister of Energy, Commerce & Industry for the first time after H.E. Papanastasiou assumed his new post on March 2023.

During the meeting, SG Mobarez acknowledged Cyprus remarkable contribution in leading many EMGF activities last year during the presidency of the forum.

The meeting witnessed comprehensive discussions on the role of the East Med region in diversifying the world’s energy mix, and the region’s crucial role in improving global energy security and alleviating current energy market shortages in Europe.
