In line with the EMGF strategic objectives, which aims to develop partnerships with relevant organizations, and actively participate in relevant forums, we are delighted to announce that the EMGF has become an endorsing partner with the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) in the Mediterranean Gas Exploration Symposium taking place from 9–11 May 2023 in Alamein, Egypt, under the Patronage of H.E. Eng. Tarek El Molla, the Egypt Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources

The symposium is structured around panel sessions, keynote sessions, and technical and poster presentations where the delegates have the opportunity to network with and learn from leaders to provide an insight into the Mediterranean geological settings, basin scale structural and stratigraphic framework, and petroleum system models.

The event will also include a field trip in Western Desert, with the objective of providing an insight of the tectonostratigraphic framework and exploration in the northern Western Desert of Egypt. The field trip shall provide an excellent opportunity for peers to discuss, explore and invoke perspectives on the potential of the emerging East Mediterranean hydrocarbon province and gas hub.
