I am a dedicated CSR leader with over two decades of experience in the petroleum sector, recognized for establishing the CSR department at EGAS, and now driving impactful community development initiatives with the same passion and commitment in my role at PhPC.
I am a CSR leader with over two decades of experience dedicated to creating sustainable impact within Egypt’s petroleum sector. My career has been shaped by a deep belief in the power of community development. Throughout my journey, I have led major national and international projects, including World Bank, EU, and AFD–funded initiatives, working closely with communities, government partners, and IOCs to build effective grievance systems, empower local teams, and ensure that development reaches the people who need it most.
Over the years, I have built a strong reputation for creating systems, structures, and partnerships that drive meaningful social impact. One of my proudest achievements was leading the design and establishment of the CSR Department at EGAS, where I developed the department’s strategy, structure, and job descriptions, laying the foundation for a more strategic and impactful CSR direction. Since July 2022, I have served as the General Manager for CSR Activities’ Financing & Documentation, overseeing CSR plans, budgets, and performance across all affiliate companies. My role includes aligning initiatives with the Ministry of Petroleum & Mineral Resources’ CSR Strategy, participating in high-level committees, monitoring flagship projects such as the Zohr field community programs, and strengthening collaboration with IOCs and NGOs to ensure measurable, sustainable results.
Before assuming this position, I held several key community development roles at EGAS, including Assistant General Manager of the Community Development Department and Social Manager within the PMU of the National Gas Connection Project funded by the World Bank, EU, and AFD. During this time, I led the establishment of a comprehensive Grievance Redress Mechanism, developed monitoring frameworks for environmental and social studies, and served as the communication and visibility focal point for EU-supported initiatives benefiting disadvantaged households.
I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Business Administration) from Ain Shams University and a Certified Manager credential from the Institute of Certified Professional Managers. My professional development includes extensive training in sustainability, leadership, social safeguards, strategic management, communication, crisis management, and partnership building offered by global institutions such as the World Bank and the ILO.
Today, in my role at PhPC, I continue to apply the same passion, empathy, and sense of purpose, striving to transform corporate commitments into real stories of positive change. Beyond work, I find balance in walking, traveling, and reading, activities that keep me energized, grounded, and continuously inspired.
