Eleni Charpantidou currently serves as a Member of the ENTSO-E Board of Directors and Director of European and Regional Affairs at IPTO in Greece.
Eleni Charpantidou currently serves as a Member of the ENTSO-E Board of Directors and as the Referent Board Member for the South East European region. In this capacity, she actively contributes to the development of European energy strategy, with a strong focus on fostering cross-border collaboration, advancing regional integration, and supporting the sustainable transition of the European energy system. She brings valuable insight into the specific challenges and opportunities of the South East European region.
Ms. Charpantidou played a key role in the establishment of SEleNe CC, the Regional Coordination Center for Greece, Italy, and Bulgaria. As Director of European and Regional Affairs at IPTO and former Senior Advisor to the CEO, she has contributed in strengthening IPTO’s strategic positioning within the European energy landscape, while fostering closer partnerships across the Balkans, Southeastern Europe, and the MENA region, and advancing cooperation between EU and non-EU TSOs.
With more than 20 years of experience in infrastructure development and renewable energy projects, Eleni combines strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of the regulatory, strategic, and geopolitical dimensions of the energy sector. She holds a degree in Environmental Engineering and a Master’s degree in Environmental Design of Infrastructure Works, supported by an extensive academic research background.
