8th EMGF High Level Working Group Meeting – December 16th, 2020
The 8th EMGF High Level Working Group (HLWG) meeting was virtually held on the 16th December 2020 via the online video conference, as a part of the precautionary measures taken to contain the COVID 19 pandemic.
The meeting was led by Egypt and was virtually attended by the EMGF High Level Working Group (HLWG) representatives from the governments of Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, and Palestine.
The meeting discussed the status of the EMGF Statute ratification in the EMGF Member Countries, paving the way for the Statute entry into force.
The meeting also presented the proposed procedure to be followed by any new member / observer willing to join the EMGF.
The meeting also discussed the outcomes of the last Gas Industry Advisory Committee (GIAC) meeting held on the 8th December 2020, and the EMGF roadmap showing the planned next steps for the forum activities and the way forward regarding the EMGF organizational establishment.
