6th EMGF High Level Working Group Meeting – May 19th, 2020
The 6th EMGF High Level Working Group (HLWG) meeting was virtually held on the 19th of May 2020 via the online video conference, as a part of the precautionary measures taken to contain the COVID 19 pandemic.
The meeting was led by Egypt and was virtually attended by the EMGF High Level Working Group (HLWG) Representatives from the Governments of Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan and Palestine, in addition to Guest Participants from The European Union and the World Bank.
The meeting discussed some design proposals for the forum’s official logo. In addition to updates regarding the (GIAC) including new expressions of interest received emphasizing the international attention it has stirred.
The meeting also discussed the proposed dates for the next EMGF Ministerial Meeting for the signing of the EMGF Statute, and the signing mechanism taking into consideration the travel restrictions and precautionary measures taken to contain the COVID 19 pandemic.
