4th EMGF High Level Working Group Meeting – November 5th, 2019 – Cairo – Egypt

The 4th EMGF High Level Working Group (HLWG) meeting took place on the 5th of November 2019 in the EMGF Headquarters in Cairo.

The meeting was led by Egypt and attended by the EMGF High Level Working Group (HLWG) representatives from the governments of Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, and Palestine, in addition to guest participants from the European Union and the World Bank.

During this meeting, the HLWG discussed the EMGF Member Countries’ observations on the EMGF Statute draft in order to agree on a final version of the statute by the end of 2019 as planned in the previous meetings.

The World Bank also presented the updates on the ongoing “Master Concept for a Phased Infrastructure Corridor” study.

The HLWG discussed the agenda, as well, for the first GIAC meeting planned to be held on the 6th of November 2019 in the presence of a number of international oil and gas companies and some national companies of the EMGF member countries.
