EMGF held virtual webinar on the 12th of October 2021 in collaboration with the US Geological Survey to shed light on the findings of their report titled “Assessment of Undiscovered Conventional Oil and Gas Resources in the Eastern Mediterranean Area, 2020” issued last July. The webinar is the first of a series of events as part of the work program of EMGF. It was attended by EMGF EB members & observers as well as representatives from different EMGF country entities.
Mr. Osama Mobarez EMGF ASG in his opening speech emphasized that East Med region is full of potential and a vital energy source attracting global attention and that through EMGF they are realizing the goal of ensuring successful regional economic cooperation for the benefit of the region. Mr. Christopher Schenk – Geologist USGS, followed by presenting the main findings of the report and finally the floor was open for questions and discussions among the audience in light of these findings.
